GREAT for a simple and practical solvent trap cleaning system!
Get a Maglite or Greatlite D-cell light to sacrifice or buy one of the high-quality tubes from SD Tactical... get a "rear thread protector" and an endcap (if using flashlight) or a second endcap "center spot marked" (no exit hole).
Take this tube and cut to fit between the two endcaps. When cleaning, cram halfway with wadded up shop towels (the blue kind from auto stores) and insert into tube and seal.
Clean as normal but don't worry about staining the carpet, floor or that $200 pair of Crye combat pants you had to pay for out of pocket.
When done, keep muzzle down and remove endcap and let pipe with towels slide out. Dispose of solvent in the most eco-friendly way you can.
That's it! That simple! Best part, unless you use the firearm for defense, you can leave the solvent trap on it as a fake suppressor for display. A bonus over flashlight or oil filter systems. Works great and looks good! I'm building more for my friends.
